LENOVO SMART DISPLAY: ALL YOU NEED TO KNOW ABOUT.
For quite some time, there has been an increase in number of consumers liking and using the "Smart Speakers" or what you can say "Home assistants".
But having an Internet enabled speaker was a thing of Past and this is what those guys at Lenovo thought when designing this beautiful piece of Tech.
So, today we will be reviewing the "Lenovo Smart Display".
(Ohh Boy! I am excited AH!)

First off, let's talk about the Specifications;
This 8-inch variant of Smart Display comes equipped with 2GB RAM and upto 4GB of eMMC Storage.
It is powered by Qualcomm® Home Hub Platform (base Snapdragon™ 624, Octa-Core A53 1.8 GHz, 14 nm) processor.
It has a 5MP 'wide-angle' front camera configured with 720p recording which makes it extremely useful for Video-calling purposes.
The speakers are 1.75" 10W Full Range speakers with 2 passive tweeters that supports Multi-room audio.
The 8" Variant has a HD resolution (1920*800) with an extensive rotating angle of 86-degrees.
It supports 2*2 WiFi 802.11ac 2.4G/5G bands.
It also supports Bluetooth v4.2
Talking about the box, it comes with Smart Display, Cable, Adapter, Quick Start guide and the warranty card.
The 10-inch model of Lenovo Smart Display has 10.1 inches of FHD (1920*1200) screen.
Everything else except the screen is same in both models.

Talking about the Price...
The 8-inch variant of Smart display has a price tag of $199.99 (~$200) whereas the 10-inch variant has a price tag of $249.99 (~$250).

Both the models are initially released in U.S and the launch dates in other countries is undecided at this point (30.07.18).
What makes it different?

The Smart display poses a direct challenge to the Amazon Echo Show which too is a Home system with a display.
But slapping a display to a smart-speaker is different than making a Smart-display-speaker kinda thing!
Don't get me wrong here (echo owners and amazon specially!), but Amazon echo show misses some features like YouTube Playback which Lenovo Smart-Display has.
Also the fact that, The very base model of Amazon Echo Show starts with the price of ~$229; is enough to show the difference.
Talking about Personal Assistants, I frankly don't see much different in this niche, but after all, it depends on your point of looking at things.
On the speaker side, qualities of both speakers are almost same and no serious difference can be observed (or heard!).
But as I mentioned, there are some limitations that Amazon Echo Show has that Lenovo Smart Display beautifully fulfills.
