HOW LENOVO MADE GOOD MONEY DESPITE NOT KEEPING IT'S PROMISES!

Since last month, Lenovo has been teasing about their super-phone named Lenovo Z5.

It was first teased with many jaw-dropping features that no-one would have expected in any phone till this date.

However, this phone was released last week, but with changes so serious that almost every critic in the tech-community thought of Lenovo as a dark-lier (#NoOffence).

So without wasting a further second, let;s get into it!

The Screen

According to the VP of Lenovo, Chang Cheng, the Lenovo Z5 would have had a 95% screen-to-body ratio.

He even teased images and renders that did not even show a notch.

But as you might expect, that didn't end up that well.

In the teased images shown below, you can see what Lenovo teased us with and what is actually gave.

This is was one of the most shocking things as the VP of Lenovo, Chang Cheng even said that this phone had 4 major breakthroughs, out of which we can't even see one!

Apart from all the rumours and lies, the Z5 came with 19:9 aspect ratio along with 90% screen to body ratio and it also "had a notch"!

Also, it didn't come Bezel-less (as was teased previously) which made it a commoner with no such specialities.

The so-called 4TB storage!

Lenovo Z5 was also rumoured to come with 4TB of Internal Storage using some pretty strange 'Particle Technology'.

However, on the launch, it's best model had Internal Storage of no more than 128-GB!

(Heck of a lie!)

However, it did come with external storage of upto 4TB, but for that you need to by the storage card separately (which is no closer to what was promised).

Lenovo VP Cheng stated that the phone would be able to hold 2000 HD videos, 150,000 music files in lossless format, and about a million photos.

Unfortunately, he forgot to tell, you need to cough-up some extra bucks to do that!

The Battery with 45 Days of Stand-By!

In this web of immense lies (or you can say 'rumours'), it was also promised by Lenovo that Z5 will have up to 45 days of standby time, and give up to 30 minutes of talk-time even with 0% charge.

Instead, the it comes with an industry standard 3300mAh battery that supports fast charging.
Along with an 18W fast-charger.

(I can see that awkward smile on there, but there's more to come now!)

The Over-hyped 'Game-changing' dual-cameras with AI

Another point, another lie!

The phone was hyped by Lenovo to come equipped with the so-called 'Game changing' dual camera setup powered by AI.

And as per the above statement, only one thing turned out to be true, which is the AI thing.

But don't excite yourself much as you won't be capturing 'great shots' with it anytime soon.

There is nothing special about this camera setup.

It has one 16MP shooter at the back and an 8MP shooter at the front.

Even phones cheaper than Lenovo Z5 have Dual-Cameras at the Back now.

The camera includes some AI enhancements that help in taking better low-light photos, portrait photos, improve HDR, improve selfies, etc.

Nothing so 'game-changing' right there!

Other Failed Promises

It was also promised that the Z5 will support 5G, which turned out to be a complete lie on seeing the maximum 4G-LTE connectivity.

Looking at the other specs, it comes with 4/6 GB RAM with upto 64/128 GB Internal Memory (where did that 4TB went? Walmart?)

It is powered by Snapdragon 636 SoC.

Conclusion

The Real Images of Lenovo Z5

As most of you have might already understood, this was a complete fail of Lenovo in terms of not keeping there Promises.

But apart from that, there is also a big and shocking fact that, all of the units of Lenovo Z5  were sold as soon as it was launched in China.

This makes us question about the power of these 'rumours' ('lies', more specifically) spreading in the market.

And as a joint-effort, it is our first and foremost responsibility to check whether these promises are true or are just 'too good to be true'.

And by this note, I would like to end this up.
