7 REASONS WHY YOUR OLD ANDROID PHONE IS MORE USEFUL THAN YOU THINK.

So I recently bought a new android phone and was happy about that.

But as the happiness flushed out of mind a few hours later, I was left in a turmoil of questions on what to do with my Old Android?

Although I can't use it very well as it is a bit old and also can't throw it away as it is not in that bad condition.

And then a wave of thought engulfed me and I suddenly got a bunch of different ways to use my old android.

So I thought to share it with you guys so you can benefit from it too.

I haven't yet decided which one of these 7 ways, I am going to use my old android for but I think we will decide by the end of this blog.

1. Back-up Device.

This was the very first idea that came to me.

You can use your old android as a back-up or let's just say a substitute for your current phone. 

Suppose that your new android phone gets damaged/breaks(ouch!)/gets lost.

What now? After a bit of grief, you need to continue your work. 

So the back-up phone will help you in that time until you either find you original phone or purchase a new one.

2. Science Research.

If you are madly attracted to science (like I am!), you can use your old phone as an help to Science.

There is an app on Play store by University of California-Berkeley. 

It is called BIONIC. All you need to do is, connect your phone to your WiFi network and make sure it has a decent 

amount of charge in it. If not, charge it.

Now start the app and do anything if it says. 

It basically use your Phone's free Computing Power to solve Mathematical equations and other cool science stuff.

3. Conference Phone

This is a really creative idea. 

You can install SKYPE or Google DUO or any other app of your choice.

And after charging your phone for good time, you can connect it to WiFi/Data network and then have it always on so that whenever your Work/Family calls, you can attend it without missing.

You can even use a Tri-pod to hold your Phone in a desirable position and then use it.

It's all up to you.

4. CCTV Camera

Going on a Vacation and worried about your phone?

Worry no more.

Just Charge your Phone and install any of these great CCTV apps AT Home Camera or SalientEye or any app of your choice; and set your phone with wifi-on in a really low-key corner of your House/Room.

Now connect your CCTV app with your e-mail/phone/whatever! (It depend on what the app offers).

And Baam! You are done. Now whenever your House is in danger, you know it.

5. Car/Family Locator

Are you worried about any of your family member's where abouts or about you car being stolen?

Ditch your worries! Install any of these apps (Find my device or Life360) or any of your own choice, charge your phone, have a really cheap data pack on it (which actually works) and then turn the GPS with high-accuracy on!

Now install the corresponding app on your other device and do the same. 

Now slip the old phone in your car's drawer or in your loved one's bag secretly so you can know where they, the phone's battery percentage and etc. 

Me personally have been using this from quite some time and the results never let me down.

6. AI Assistant 

Ever wondered how it feels living like Tony Stark in Iron Man?

Feel no more! Rather experience it. 

Install Cortana-You Virtual Assistant or Google Assistant or Jarvis or any app of your choice.

Now Have your phone charged while being connected to WiFi and you are done.

Ask your Phone to do anything(not literally) and enjoy this AI experience!

7. Crypto-Currency Miner

Though this might not the the most profitable business mining crypto-currency but this is here because I think it's relevant.

You can Mine Crypto-Currency using your phone but it depends on many factors like your Phone's Processor, Ram, etc.

Also even with that you might not get a good amount of money.

THIS WILL CERTAINLY NOT MAKE YOU A RICHIE OVERNIGHT!

Months, Probably an year would make you a reasonable amount of Money.

Also remember to install an Anti-Virus in your phone as Crypto-mining on phone might bring virus to it.

Here are some great Crypto-miners you can use, but remember if you want to download by yourself, mind you decision as there are many spams apps in the market. 

MinerGate or CoinHive Monero Miner or any of your choice.
