Good news for Redmi Note 5 Pro users! Redmi Note 5 Pro which was released earlier this year, will get Android v8.0 Oreo update soon! According to report, the update will start rolling out on or after 29th June 2018. This can be a good keeping of words by Xiaomi as they promised that they will roll out Android Oreo updates to Redmi Note 5 Pro soon. After the initial launch of the phone in February, it was promised that Note 5 Pro will get Android 8 as it was running Android 7 out of the box. Android 7 was released 2 years back in 2016 with no major UI improvements but with some noticable security and battery improvements. However, the Redmi Note 5 Pro will still run MIUI v9.0 a top Android Oreo after updates roll out, until any official word can be heard from Xiaomi.
